PROJECT FABRICATOR

LOCATION: EAST VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Project Fabricator, you will be helping to prepare and build the required materials for our interior landscaping projects. You will learn the necessary skills on the job, so no specific prior knowledge is required. However, you should be fairly good at working with your hands, and comfortable safely using basic tools such as: box cutters, wire cutters, pruning shears, and glue guns.

The work you do will directly build towards the completion and beauty of the projects that we install. Each plant or flower that you see in our previous projects was cut, attached, or planted by a project fabricator.

DUTIES

• Handling and moving inventory such as: plant pots, boxes of artificial flowers, foam panels, tools, etc.

• Cutting foam panels into the needed shapes

• Cutting, trimming, and attaching artificial plants onto foam panels or other structures

• Gluing natural moss onto foam panels

• Loading project materials for delivery

• Assisting with delivery and installation when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work with your hands, and safely handle sharp objects like box cutters

• Ability to move heavy boxes (most boxes are light, but there is the occasional item)

• Driver’s license (optional)

• Sense of humor (optional)

WEEKLY HOURS & SCHEDULING

• Full-time positions: 35 to 40 hours per week

• Part-time positions: 16 or more hours per week

• Regular hours of operation: 9 am - 5 pm

COMPENSATION

Hourly wage range: $21/hr to $27/hr
